Wine made by Spanish Celebrities

Spain is one of the most diverse countries in terms of winemaking.

The famous player of Barcelona and the Spanish national team Andres Iniesta made a major investment in his hometown and acquired 120 hectares, built a winery and a restaurant. In honor of the winning goal of the Spanish national team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the wine "Minuto 116" was released. The wine production of Bodega Iniesta is of decent quality and has every chance of becoming a successful business.

His teammate, Leo Messi, is also a winemaker. He is collaborating with the Argentinean manufacturers. The Leo brand is made from two varieties: red Malbec and white Torrontes. Both grapes are the bestsellers of Messi's homeland of Argentina. So wine named after the national hero is guaranteed to succeed.

The famous comedian Emilio Aragon has quite successfully invested in several projects in Castilla La Mancha, then in Rueda, and in Galicia regions. Working with professional winemaker Fausto Gonzalez, he is pushing the business forward.

In 2009, Antonio Banderas, an actor from Malaga who conquered Hollywood bought the Anta winery in Ribera del Duero that has been renamed into Anta Banderas. Since the beginning of 2013 bad news has been going on about the company. Today the fate of the start wine is still vague.

The business experience of the famous Catalan singer, Joan Manuel Serrat, also has much to be desired. In the middle of the 2000s, he acquired some vineyards in the Montsant and Priorat regions, turned them into a truly exquisite place, and created a taste-worthy red wine. But the crisis of 2007 broke out, this bodega went bankrupt and was put up for sale for a third of the price.
